Airport Infrastructure Inspections and ILS/VOR Calibration

Norsital Group provides unmanned aerial systems for inspection of built infrastructures at airports, such as terminals, hangars, radar domes and towers. Inspections include energy audits, structural integrity testing, regular and predictive building maintenance.

ILS/VOR Calibration

Norsital Group works with specialist payload developers to provide UAV based calibration of ILS/VOR airport navigation systems. Our UAV inspection systems for ILS/VOR significantly improve reading accuracy, reduce runway down-time to minutes, and consequently reduce the economic impact of regulatory compliance to a bare minimum. The Norsital ILS/VOR inspection system is based on 4 rotor or 6 rotor drones, and can be ordered with highly customizable ground vehicles for optimized operations and integration into regular runway inspection.

Our UAV operate over various major international airports in Europe and are exclusively authorized by the Italian Aviation Authority (ENAC) to operate over the airports of Italy.

Power Grid Inspections

Norsital Group offers UAV with thermal and video cameras designated to the inspections of power grids, either as 4 rotor or 6 rotor variants, depending on the respective mission profile.

Artificial Intelligence in Livewire Voltage Testing

Norsital Group, RR Engineering and Nimbus SRL have developed and successfully tested a AI controlled, fully automated UAV for livewire testing of high voltage power lines. This system significantly reduces human exposure to potentially lethal work hazards. Our Livewire Voltage Testing system is based on our 6 rotor multicopter UAV and will become commercially available in 2023. Please contact us for updates.

Elevated Infrastructure Testing

Our 4 rotor and 6 rotor drones come with up- and downside payload mounts that allow for top-down and bottom-up imaging of elevated infrastructures, such as bridges and elevated roads and railroads, but also tunnels and overhead installations.
